HIV Test (Mono pack) is a rapid test based upon the principle of immuno-chromatography for the qualitative and differential detection of HIV-1&2 antibodies (IgM/IgG/IgA) in human serum / plasma / whole blood. Each test card contains a strip composed of sample pad, conjugate pad, nitrocellulose membrane and absorbent pad. When an adequate volume of specimen is dispensed along with assay buffer into the sample well of the test device over the sample pad, the specimen migrates immuno-chromatographically by capillary action across the nitro cellulose membrane along with complex of colloidal gold conjugate with HIV antibody present in the specimen. Appearance of pink / purple lines at test line regions ‘T1 OR T2’ in addition to pink / purple line at control line region ‘C’, indicates that specimen has detectable level of antibodies and shall be considered reactive for HIV-1& HIV-2. Highly sensitive, specific and reliable test, packed individually with lancet, IPA Swab, assay buffer and IFU. It has shelf life of 24 months from date of manufacturing if stored at 2-40°C in sealed conditions
