HCG Test

HCG Test (Device)

HCG Test (card / device) is based upon the principle of immuno-chromatography, a two-site immunoassay on a nitrocellulose membrane. Each test card / device contains a strip composed of sample pad, conjugate pad, nitrocellulose membrane and absorbent pad. The conjugate pad contains colloidal gold conjugated with anti HCG and Rabbit IgG. The nitro cellulose membrane is immobilized in form of lines with anti HCG at test line region ‘T’, Goat anti rabbit IgG as control line region ‘C’. When an adequate volume of specimen is dispensed into the sample well of the test device over the sample pad, the specimen migrates immuno-chromatographically by capillary action across the nitro cellulose membrane along with complex of colloidal gold conjugate with HCG present in the test specimen. Appearance of pink / purple lines at test line region ‘T’ in addition to pink / purple line at control line region ‘C’, indicates that test specimen has detectable level of HCG.
